The Ruffle Dress

I’ve always been drawn in by small details. And, in garments, I often can’t resist them. For me, this dress is all about the ruffles, so I spent a bit of time getting them just right. As mentioned in a previous post, I went back to the drawing board to redraft and redesign the front of this dress. While I really enjoy the look and feel of the initial circular ruffles, they weren't working at the time. It's partly due to the weight of this cotton-linen blend of fabric, and also the way I went about attaching them. I will definitely revisit circular ruffles down the road, but in the meantime, I am really pleased with this final dress design.
